TILE Tag Development Update

A gaggle of TILE Tags in the wild! Photo Credit: Tomorrow Lab

The TILE tag is a small device that is designed to collect data over time for soft good products. Using the tag, a brand can start to understand how customers are using a product and ideally, design better products over time. The tag collects three kinds of data- time, temperature and motion. Using this data, it can start to paint of picture of how someone is handling the product it is attached to.

Working with Tomorrow Lab (hardware) and Fueled (software), we began development of the TILE tag and app in 2018. Over the past months, we were able to launch a functional app in the Google Play store and we have initial prototypes of a tag that collect data.

As of now, we are working to ensure that the app and the hardware are perfectly in sync. We should have more information about the full functionality of the tag over the next few months once this is complete.

Stay tuned for more updates on the TILE tag!
